In the meantime, here’s a delicious buttermilk fried chicken burger recipe to get you started…
- 4 chicken breasts, skin removed
- 350ml buttermilk
100g plain flour
4 slices of fresh goat cheese, 1/2 inch thick each
1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- To season: 1 teaspoon of paprika and 2 teaspoons of cayenne pepper
- To serve: your favorite burger toppings and Heinz Tomato Ketchup
Spread each chicken breast between 2 pieces of cling film and flatten it with a rolling pin until it is 2 cm thick. Then add to a bowl with the buttermilk, completely cover each piece and let cool overnight.
Combine flour, oregano, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder and seasoning in a large plate. Remove the chicken pieces from the buttermilk and roll them in the seasoned flour.
Cook the chicken in a large skillet for 4-5 minutes until nicely browned.
Serve with your favorite toppings, Heinz Tomato Ketchup and enjoy!
