Alex Guarnaschelli’s new pizza recipe is extra crispy and delicious – SheKnows

Homemade pizza is one of life’s greatest pleasures. Especially one topped with fresh ingredients and tons of cheese! But the worst part is the preparation and cooking time it usually takes (sometimes it’s so much easier to order delivery). Luckily, chef Alex Guarnaschelli has the perfect solution: no-bake pizzas!

The chef posted a recipe for her Pan-fried pizzas with ricotta, tomatoes and basil on Mother’s Day, and it doesn’t require baking. How cool is that?

“Love the simplicity of this recipe,” she captioned the photo of the delicious pizza on Instagram. “Just roll out the batter, sear crispy and cover. No need for an oven.” Amazing!

To make the pizzas, you will need prepared pizza dough, ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, halved cherry tomatoes, basil leaves, balsamic vinegar, etc. You’ll start by rolling the dough into two loose balls, covering it with a kitchen towel, and letting it rest. Then, roll them out into 8-inch rounds and cook them in a skillet with olive oil.

Take them out and garnish with the remaining ingredients. For an extra kick, add Pizzeria Salt on top, made with oregano, parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, and more.

This recipe makes two medium pizzas for a total of 4-6 servings.

My mom would have loved it too. A special day.”
