This adaptogenic pumpkin chai latte will soon be your go-to fall drink. There’s no coffee in it, but it’s packed with adaptogens that will improve your energy levels and boost your mood. Plus, it’s dairy-free!

This creamy, enlightening latte can have as much impact in your skincare rituals as any serum or mask. Although you can take ashwagandha in pill form, I use powdered ashwagandha in this case. Recipein addition to maca powder. maca is an herb sometimes called Peruvian ginseng and has similar benefits. Not only does maca root contain essential vitamins and nutrients, but it’s also known to boost mood and energy, improve memory, and help keep your metabolism on track.

I also added some reishi mushroom powder to this RecipeHow is it known to boost your immune system and fight fatigue and depression. It is also an antioxidant.

Why I love this recipe:

  • Double, triple or quadruple this recipe to make a larger batch and store in the refrigerator for easy tasting for several days.

  • You can serve this hot or cold. I recommend making a full batch warm first, then chilling in the fridge before serving over ice. Doing this with hot water will help dissolve and mix some of the components better than cold water would. Just be sure to shake it before pouring, as there will be a bit of separation as it cools.

  • Feel free to omit the maca if you want to enjoy it later in the day. Maca will give you a natural energy boost that can linger into the evening hours.
