Recipe: Peanut butter, banana and dates on toast

Need a snack that takes little thought but is guaranteed to satisfy? We have you.

For those of you intimate with the wonderful combination that is peanut butter and banana on toast, don’t scoff at this recipe. Adding dates, cinnamon and even the tiniest pinch of sea salt takes this breakfast, lunch or dinner (!) to a whole new level. In the foggy days after Christmas and New Years, when we’ve all eaten and drunk more than is good for us, check out this recipe. It takes little thought and effort and yet satisfaction is guaranteed. Makes 2 toasts

  • 2 slices of Vogel’s bread or sourdough bread
  • Butter
  • peanut butter (crispy or smooth)
  • 1 large banana
  • 2 dates, finely chopped
  • cinnamon
  • sea ​​salt

Toast the Vogel’s at your convenience (I prefer mine well toasted and almost crispy!).

Spread with butter and peanut butter.

Slice the banana diagonally and arrange on both toasts.

Sprinkle each piece with a generous pinch of cinnamon and a pinch of sea salt. Serve with black coffee, if necessary.
